Kane lost his balance as he was pushed back against a wall. The wall didn't hold as Avery urgently assaulted his mouth. Kane pitched backward, stumbling several steps. Avery held on tight, making the whole thing harder when they both reached out to steady themselves. The maneuver had Kane losing his footing, and he landed ass down on the toilet. The spinning in his head was out of control. Dazed and confused, it took him a second to realize Avery was locking the stall door and working quickly to rid himself of his slacks.

"Baby, we don't have time to waste. Hurry," Avery said, pushing his waistband down, freeing his rigid cock. Avery's cock bobbed in front of him, begging for his touch. Kane reached forward, and after one simple touch, Avery was on him, pulling him to his feet, unfastening his slacks, and pushing them down his thighs. Clearly Avery was a professional at this sort of thing.

He found a small cabinet door tucked against the back wall. To Kane's drunken mind, it magically opened and inside laid a generic bottle of lube and some condom packets. His eager partner grabbed the lube, left the condoms, and pushed the bottle into Kane's hands.

"I want you to fuck me," Avery whispered and took his mouth in a hungry kiss. "Fuck me so I know I'm yours."

"You must like this bottoming thing," Kane said, grinning. He opened the bottle of lube, but apparently he wasn't fast enough as Avery grabbed the bottle and began pouring lube on Kane's cock and stroking down his length. Kane hissed as Avery's tongue pushed into his mouth again. This time the invasion was quick, and Avery tore from the kiss, looking Kane in the eyes.

"You have to be faster. Come on. We'll be caught," Avery said, turning around, facing the wall. Avery hadn't been joking when he'd insisted they needed to be faster.

"I thought you said it was okay," Kane kept his eyes on the door.

"In theory it is, until the cops come," Avery answered.

"Maybe we should go…" The words trailed off when he saw Avery's perfect ass sticking out at him, and he watched, mesmerized as Avery pushed two fingers into himself. The sight had him reaching for his own dick and stroking himself while he enjoyed the show. Avery was opening himself up for him. No one had ever done that in front of him and it was sexy as hell. He was on the edge, and he wasn't even inside Avery. If he weren't so worried about getting caught, he might just sit there all night and watch his lover work himself on his own digits. But they didn't have time. He stepped up behind Avery.

"Let me." He nudged Avery's hand out of his way, and using his well-oiled finger, he slid over Avery's rim, pushing in past the knuckle, easily finding the gland. Avery arched back on the move.

"Put it in, Kane, I'm ready!" Avery gazed at him over his shoulder, then reached back to help guide Kane's hard cock to his entrance. His lover sank back; warmth gripped him as Avery's channel stretched around him. They both moaned loudly as Kane filled him.

"Fuck me like you mean it," Avery growled. For Kane, it was exactly what he needed to hear. The feeling of being buried deep in Avery's ass had his knees shaking and his lips quivering. He dug his fingers into Avery's hips and pushed deeper into that tight, constricting heat.

"You're so tight…feels so good," Kane moaned.

"Come on, Kane, I need it hard!" Avery pushed back on him, meeting Kane thrust for thrust. He rammed his hips forward, losing himself in the feel of Avery's body yielding to his. As he withdrew from Avery's snug channel, Kane grabbed for the small bottle sitting on the back of the toilet and poured more lube on his dick. Kane made a mess, but the slickness was what he needed to do the trick, allowing him to slide deeper and fill Avery completely. Yes! He began a steady pounding against Avery's ass. The sound of skin slapping against skin could be heard with each thrust forward.

"Yes!" Avery gasped, raising up, driving Kane's body deeper into his. Avery ground against him, his lover's hands banged loudly against the metal stall he used for leverage. Kane continued fucking him in long hard strokes and awkwardly kicked at his legs trying to spread them farther apart. The tangled slacks at his feet only allowed for so much.

Avery wasn't quiet as shameless whimpers and guttural moans echoed off the walls of the small cubical. Kane held most of Avery's weight as he crumbled against him, his lover's back pressed against his chest as he dropped his head on to Kane's shoulder. Kane never stopped the sensual assault, reaching low to stroke Avery hard and fast. The smell of Avery, sweat and sex, filled his nostrils. Such a potent scent, one that clouded his brain and settled deep inside his balls.

"Ahh…Kane." Avery passed the point of sensible. He begged and pleaded, his words making little sense. Kane continued impaling him, driving deep inside him.

Minutes felt like hours. The whole experience was perfect and this moment was so right. Avery's eyes were closed, lips parted, pleasure clear on his face. Kane loved all the eager sounds coming from him, reveled in them. His lover tensed and fell forward, his dick twitching in Kane's hand as liquid warmth spilled over his fingers. Avery's passage tightened, drawing him in and constricting around him, milking him. That was all it took. He dropped his head on Avery's back and sank his teeth into Avery's salty skin, barely pulling free in enough time to shoot his creamy load across Avery's ass.

Slowly the earth settled back. Avery had his cheek pressed against the cold steel bathroom stall, drool gathering in his open mouth. What the hell just happened? When he suggested a bathroom run, he had no idea his entire world was about to be completely rocked. What a ride! Kane Dalton fucked him like he had never been fucked before in his life. And he hadn't even been drunk. He'd switched to water hours ago. Damn!

"Baby, you gotta get up," Avery said, twitching his shoulders where he felt Kane pressed up against him.

"I told you it would be good," Kane said. Avery laughed at that one. They had to be a complete mess. The evidence of Kane's orgasm ran down his ass cheek.

"I think that was me telling you that, and you saying, no, we'll be caught," Avery said in a teasing voice. He reached over, grabbed the toilet paper, and attempted to clean his ass.

"Well, I knew it was one of us. Let me clean you," Kane said, wiping his hands on a wad of toilet paper before taking over the task. He was sloppy, clearly still very drunk and totally in that satiated after-sex moment. It took a minute, but they cleaned themselves up the best they could and dressed between small kisses and silly grins. It wasn't until Avery opened the door that he found they had an audience.

"Dude, that was some serious hot shit coming out of that stall!" The guy standing right outside their door was young, a punk rocker with a foot long, multi-colored Mohawk. Avery grinned, sliding an arm around Kane's shoulders, drawing him in close to his side. Kane matched him, wrapping an arm around his back, the other over his stomach.

They kept that awkward hold as they found their jackets, Avery's shirt long gone on the dance floor. They stayed glued to one another until they reached the front doors of the bar where Avery had to fish out his valet ticket. He moved right back into the circle of Kane's arms, letting his lover's warmth consume him. Avery never remembered holding anyone this close for the world to see or feeling totally comfortable as he did right that minute.

"Our sex is always good," Kane whispered, laying his head on Avery's chest, right below his shoulder.

"The best," Avery whispered back, kissing the top of Kane's hair.

"You were hot tonight. I loved dancing with you," Kane said.

"I want more of this. I want you to stay at my house," Avery said. Kane's head jerked up, but Avery pushed it back against his chest. "You don't have to call it a move-in. I get that it freaks you out, but I'm just a couple of buildings down from the restaurant. It's a safer neighborhood, and Brian can't get to you."

Kane slowly lifted his head, looking closely at Avery. "I only live there because I try to pour everything back into the restaurant. I wanna expand. It's cheap there."

"Babe, my place is even cheaper," Avery said, looking down at the beautiful upturned face. As usual, he couldn't resist leaning in and placing
a simple kiss on Kane's perfect lips.

"Now, I can tell you're going to argue. But, Kane, it just makes sense. You don't have to give up your place. Keep it as long as you want, just stay at my house. We didn't even get Brian's key from him. It'll make me feel better. Besides, I already cleaned out drawers and closet space for you. The shoes you left over there are lonely for your other things."

"I just met you," Kane said, not responding to his teasing.

"I don't care. I like the idea of moments like this with you. Always," Avery said, nodding as he let the word sink in. "You fit me perfectly. And I knew you would. From the first minute I saw you, I just knew." Avery's words were packed full of the emotion churning through him. He kept his movements tender. "You get quiet when I

say words like that. It makes me insecure."

"I like what you're saying, it's just so fast," Kane whispered.

"Amount of time doesn't matter. Let's do this, see where it goes," Avery said, staring intently down at him. Kane finally nodded, and relief caused Avery to tighten his grip on the man.

"Let's go home," Avery said as his car pulled to the curb in front of them, forcing them apart. Avery took a twenty from his wallet, tipping the valet as Kane walked over to the car.

Frustration shot through him as he looked over to find Kane already inside the car. He hated not being able to get the door for him. Really? Avery rounded the hood and refused to consider what a seriously lovesick fool he had become in such a short time.

He slid inside the running Corvette and looked over to his lover. Kane had his head back on the rest, and he swiveled the angle until he could see Avery. A crooked grin spread across his lips.

"I had fun tonight," Kane said. Avery reached down and linked their fingers before using the space between their palms to push the gear in place, apparently unwilling to let go of Kane for any length of time.

"Me too," Avery said to Kane's snore. He drove slower than normal all the way home, taking care of his precious cargo that apparently had sinus problems tonight based on the soft snores growing in intensity.

  Chapter 12

The pencil twirled through Avery's deft fingers as he sat back to kick his legs up on the conference room table. He listened to the longwinded voter demographic breakdown given by a senior staff member of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. They were three hours into this Sunday afternoon meeting where Avery had been an hour and a half late. His mother, Kennedy Adams, flew in for the meeting and sat across the table from him. She sat next to Janice, who sat right next to his new campaign chairman, Dennis Joslin, and on his side of the table, sat another overdressed three piece suit that Avery wasn't really sure why he was in the meeting.

By design, this gathering was intended to be a closed-door, somewhat secret, and very private meeting where the Democrats and Avery ironed out their agreement to move him forward in the Senate race.

Based on everything said, the Democratic Party seemed clear: they had found their man in Avery. His preliminary acceptance and approval ratings were high. With a small amount of tweaking and a large amount of prepping, he should be a shoo-in. Yet, this was the part of politics he hated the most. The almost manipulative calculating, poll numbers on every type of survey known to man, the studies of household voting practices…God, Avery hated those the most!

For Avery, this was all major boring bullshit. He'd pushed up his shirt sleeves, loosened his tie, and poured himself a double Chivas, which he'd refilled once already. His legs were crossed, the heels of his dress shoes on the table, and he leaned as far back as the squeakless chair would go, resting his head on the headrest.

Avery kept his eyes on the speaker. One of his best lessons from law school was how to stare someone in the eye, let them believe you were truly listening to them, and tune them out completely. It was exactly what he was doing right now because his mind kept straying back to how sexy Kane was when he danced, and how he'd had to leave his warm inviting bed, with Kane wrapped around him, to come to this stupid meeting.

Kane had agreed to come back to his place tonight after work. Avery took nothing for granted where Kane was concerned and would ask to make sure Kane came back every night. He'd never just come on his own. Avery mentally frowned and then wondered if the look had crossed his face as the speaker faltered in his lecture. He couldn't help the facial faux pas, every time he thought about Brian showing up at Kane's place, completely unannounced, it thoroughly pissed him off.

Brian begging for a second chance had taken some of the wind out of his sails. Avery had pretty much convinced himself that he and Kane were a love-at-first-sight kind of couple. They were soul mates finally reconnected. Something made in the movies, most definitely a happily ever after. But Brian messed that up a little for him. He had longevity, where Avery only had a few days, and nothing really talked through between him and Kane. Not only was nothing talked through, they also had this monumental Senate race looming over them that Avery hadn't mentioned one word about. Quiet, reserved Kane Dalton, who was shunned by his family for being gay, wasn't just going to easily jump on board with this.

"If you can tell by this graph, we have isolated the problem areas here in green. We have hired Mr. Freeport here. He's a top campaign manager, his last four campaigns have won their districts, and if you stay on the plan we've outlined, you should have an easy landslide victory."

Avery continued to stare at the speaker, barely hearing anything he said until he realized all eyes were on him. He had to tick back in his head to remember the last thing said. With no luck, he chided himself. He was usually far better and much craftier at hiding the fact he ignored people. Damn! So, instead of answering, he paused a moment, biting at his thumbnail. If he moved forward with this campaign, he'd have to be careful with Kane. Public opinion was still very clear on its perceptions of homosexuality. Would Kane hide? Did he even want to hide Kane? No, he didn't, not at all. He was too proud of having finally found him.

Then how would a run affect Kane? Would it negatively impact La Bella Luna? Probably and no way Kane would take money from him. Kane wouldn't even allow Avery to pay for his dinner or drinks at night anymore. Kane's whole life was wrapped up in that restaurant.

"I've met someone," Avery blurted out. The silent stares changed from ones of thought to ones of surprise. His mother cocked her perfectly arched brow at him. He resisted the smile. He knew her thoughts were more directed toward wondering why this was the first time she had heard this. He shrugged at her.

"What exactly does that mean, Mr. Adams?" Dennis Joslin asked. "Like a someone to date? That's fine, actually even better. We can school her, fill her in, get her moving in the right direction." Avery's stare turned hard. Did he truly plan to do this? It was one thing to fantasize he'd met his mate, but another altogether different thing to truly tie himself to that person.

Avery knew the deal, understood the United States, and knew no one was ready for an openly gay political leader. What he did behind closed doors was fine, but he also didn't want to hide Kane. Under deep rejection, Kane still owned who he was as a person, even though his religious beliefs didn't always leave him comfortable with himself. As every day passed, Avery began to understand Kane thought his homosexuality was a sin. To ask Kane to hide would just make all that so much worse and unfair to both of them and their relationship.

Avery needed to talk to Kane.

"Excuse me for a minute," Avery said, dropping his feet to the floor, and abruptly standing. He walked straight out the conference room door without any explanation. He made a beeline for his office, absently slamming the door shut behind him. He didn't bother with taking a seat at his desk, he was too wound up. Instead, he reached over, picked up the phone, and dialed Kane's direct office line. He prayed he'd answer.

"La Bella Luna, can I help you?" Just the sound of Kane's voice calmed Avery.

"How are you today?" Avery asked. It wasn't the real question, but still something he wanted to know.

  "I
'm good, how are you?" Kane asked, and he could hear the smile in Kane's voice. He got it, he was smiling too.

"I'm good. Not sore anymore. That's good. I think it means I'm getting use to you being back there," Avery said.

"Are you okay? You sound a little tense." So Kane was learning him as he learned Kane. Good, it had to mean he cared.

"I'm good, just making a decision on some business. I have a question for you," Avery said. He sat back against his desk, his leg bouncing with anticipation.

  "Shoot," Kane replied.

"All right, here's the question and I'm nervous so I'm just going to dump it out there. Pay attention," Avery said.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Kane asked again, concern in his voice.

"Are you listening?" Avery asked, ignoring Kane's question.

  "Yes?"

"I'm into you. I mean really into you. Like always into you. Do you feel the same way about me?" Avery's heart thumped wildly in his chest, and he closed his eyes.

"Yes," Kane replied quietly. Thank God!

"Good. I'll see you later. I'll call you when I'm done here," Avery said, but Kane's voice stopped him from dropping the phone back on the hook.

"That's it?" Kane asked. Avery almost hit himself with the phone as he jerked it back up to his ear to hear what Kane said.

"Yes! Thank you for agreeing, it's what I needed to know. I'll explain later. Take care. I'll call you soon." Avery waited to hear Kane hang up before he did. Relief caused him to plop down in the chair closest to him. The dating game rules dictated they needed more time before giving declarations such as that one. But time was something he didn't have right now. Forcing himself up, he went straight back to the conference room. His decision made.

"Gentlemen, thank you for waiting, and you too, Mom, Janice," Avery said, giving his mom a warm smile before he continued. He didn't take his chair. Instead, he stood at the head of the table, looking down the row of people.
